ICI Launches a New Pump Jack
May 3, 2006, 5:09 pmAfter 2 months of field testing, ICI has commenced full-scale production of its new pump jack. Field testing was conducted with 5 oil and gas companies and each unit has performed exceptionally. The new jack, coined the Copperhead, targets the production of shallow gas/coal bed methane and lower-producing oil wells. ICI Successfully Field Tests the “Regen” Circuit
May 3, 2006, 5:08 pmICI has completed testing on a “Regen” circuit, an add-on that adds significant speeds to the Golden Rod pump jacks. Typically the Golden Rod 20-120’s (120” stroke) can achieve speeds of 5.5 strokes per minute and the Golden Rod 20-86’s (86” stroke) can achieve speeds of 7.5 strokes per minute. The addition increases the speeds to 8 strokes per minute on the 20-120 and to 10 strokes per minute on the 20-86. This change can be made or removed in the field depending on changing well conditions. This change opens up an entirely new segment of the market and makes the technology very competitive in high volume applications.
